Most women reach a time when they find an interest in yoga. While searching the modern web, you’ll likely stumble upon Yoga Burn by Zoe Bray-Cotton. This is a yoga fitness sytem aimed at women to help them get in great shape. As I’ve been active since I was a child, and now I’m in my thirties, I know quite a lot about exercise, food, nutrtion, sleep and keeping your mind at ease.

I don’t have all the time in the world to research and find information about every yoga pose. You can spend days online looking for yoga classes “near me”, yoga retreats and yoga mats. If you are anything like me, when you start to LOVE doing something you’ll go out there and look at YouTube vidoes, go to your local yoga shop and start looking for things to add to your arsenal.

Is Zoe Bray-Cotton competent enough to teach about yoga?

In short, yes. I personally think it’s worth having a very competent, knowledgable and logical “coach”. In the case of Yoga, Zoe is a great teacher. As you can see by the website, Yoga Burn, Zoe currently has 10 DIFFERENT programs. You don’t create 10 programs with thousands of satisfied women around the world if you are unqualified.

If you dig deeper, you’ll find that Zeo has over 10 years of personal yoga experience, as well as many years of teaching under her belt.

The program came about because of her students, actually. They wanted to be able to follow her unique yoga classes from home, when Zoe wasn’t there physically. This led her to record her yoga sessions and soon Yoga Burn was born.

It wouldn’t surprise me if you felt muscles you never knew existed. This is a four week phase and you don’t need to go get yoga shoes, yoga mats,  or anything crazy unless you really want to. A water bottle and showing up is good enough!

Transitional Flow

Here you’ll focus on doing multiple exercises in a strategic sequence to help build even more conditioning. Your heart beat will surely rise during this phase. You will be focusing on the larger muscle groups such as gluteus maximus, that’s your bum, as well as your back and core. Many experience this phase as very relaxing, but also taxing enough to give great results.

Phase 3

Mastery Flow

Now we’re talking. Here you’ll start to feel like your own “yoga master”, doing more advanced combinations, while combining everything you’ve learned so far. Here we’ll crank up the intensity together, but nothing you can’t handle after having built a solid foundation first, with phase 1 and phase 2.

This is probably not something you’ll want to get right away as a beginner. If you are beginner, the first Yoga Burn program will be just right for you. I can recommend it and if you put in the effort and follow the program step-by-step, take your time and enjoy it you’ll be surprised by the results!


Very honest video review of Yoga Burn from YouTube.

She is a bit bummed, because she is only on phase 1. You are getting used to the yoga poses and you are not supposed to go all out yet. She does have results even from phase 1, which I personally would not be expecting, aside from mental (energy, feeling of happiness, etc), because of the realease of hormones from exercising. After 3 weeks, she has lost 5 pounds roughly, which is actually GREAT. Be the next success story with Yoga Burn.

A few really good pointers from this video is that she is using a measuring tape and also weighing hersfel to keep track. Doing the yoga burn program you can actually stay the same weight for a long time, yet burn fat because muscle has a higher density than fat. Yes, you will build muscle doing yoga!
