Editorial Standards & Medical Disclaimer

⚠️ IMPORTANT MEDICAL DISCLAIMER: All content on HealthGuideReview.com is for educational and informational purposes only. Nothing on this website constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for professional medical consultation. Our Mission

HealthGuideReview.com exists to translate complex health research into clear, actionable education. We do not sell supplements, diagnose conditions, or prescribe treatments. Our role is to bridge the gap between primary scientific literature and your health decisions — with full transparency about our process, sources, and limitations.

⚠️ What We Are NOT

  • We are NOT doctors. No one on our team diagnoses, treats, or prescribes.
  • We are NOT a substitute for your healthcare provider. Your doctor knows your history, labs, and context. We do not.
  • We do NOT guarantee outcomes. Research shows probabilities, not promises. Individual responses vary.
  • We do NOT sell supplements. We review and compare products independently. Affiliate links support our research but do not influence conclusions.

🔬 Our Evidence Hierarchy

Not all evidence is equal. We grade every claim:

GradeSource TypeExamplesConfidence
ASystematic reviews, meta-analyses, major clinical guidelinesCochrane reviews, AHA/ACC guidelines, USPSTF recommendationsHighest
BRandomized controlled trials (RCTs)Peer-reviewed RCTs in major journalsHigh
CObservational studies, cohort studiesProspective cohort, case-control studiesModerate
DAnimal studies, in vitro, mechanistic dataMouse studies, cell culture, theoretical mechanismsLow
FAnecdotes, testimonials, marketing claims, expert opinion without data“It worked for me,” influencer endorsements, proprietary blends without dataNot used for recommendations

Rule: We only make recommendations based on Grade A or B evidence. Grade C is noted as “emerging.” Grade D/F is explicitly flagged as “insufficient evidence.”

✍️ Our Content Creation Process

  1. Topic Selection: Based on search demand, clinical relevance, and evidence availability.
  2. Research: Writers search PubMed, Cochrane, clinical guidelines, FDA/EMA documents. Every claim must trace to a primary source (PMID, DOI, guideline URL).
  3. Drafting: Writers synthesize evidence with clear evidence grades. No medical advice language (“you should,” “take this”). Instead: “Evidence suggests,” “Studies indicate,” “Guidelines recommend.”
  4. Expert Review: Every YMYL (Your Money Your Life) article is reviewed by a credentialed expert (MD, RD, PhD) before publication. Reviewer verifies accuracy, adds nuance, approves.
  5. Publication: Article published with: evidence grades, primary citations (PMID/DOI), reviewer badge, publication date, last-updated date.
  6. Ongoing Maintenance: Articles reviewed annually or when new evidence emerges. Corrections logged publicly.
